Midjourney Remaster is a new feature that allows users to enhance the quality of their old images, especially those that were created with older versions of Midjourney. The remaster feature uses a new algorithm that focuses on coherence and detail, which can significantly improve the appearance of images.
To use the remaster feature, you will need to have an image that was created with Midjourney v3 or older. Once you have the image, you can upload it to Midjourney and select the “Remaster” option. The remaster process will take a few minutes, and once it is complete, you will see a new image that has been enhanced in terms of sharpness, color, and detail.
The remaster feature is a powerful tool that can help you improve the quality of your old Midjourney images. If you have any images that you are not happy with, you can give the remaster feature a try and see if it can help to improve them.
How does Midjourney Remaster work?
The Midjourney Remaster feature uses a new algorithm that focuses on coherence and detail. The algorithm first analyzes the image to identify the different objects and textures in the scene. Once the objects and textures have been identified, the algorithm then uses a combination of upscaling and image-processing techniques to enhance the appearance of the image.
The remaster feature can significantly improve the quality of images in a number of ways. For example, the feature can sharpen the image, correct the colors, and remove noise. The feature can also introduce new details into the image, such as hair or fur.
How to use mid mid-journey Remaster
To use the Midjourney Remaster feature, you will need to have an image that was created with Midjourney v3 or older. Here are the steps on how to use Midjourney Remaster:
To use remaster you have to have an image created with an older version of mid-journey like v3 or v4 since now we have v5.
If we already have not an image that was created in the older versions, we can create it with the prompt below.
/imagine [art object description ] –v 3
[N.B. use space between v and 3]
The –v3 part of the prompt tells mid-journey to use modern version 3 for image generation. At the time of writing the most recent model version is v5.
After mid journey generates a set of 4 images, then Upscale using the upscale buttons between U1 and U4. I chose U1 to upscale the first image.
Now you will see the upscaled image with a set of options under it one of which is remaster. Now click on remaster option to regenerate the image with the latest algorithm or model version.
Midjourney will generate a new set of remastered versions of the image. Then as before upscale it with the same upscaling button previously used which is U1.
Now we can compare the image generated with an older version on the left with what the new version generated on the right below.
